この地図には、安全、地形、天気、駐車場に関する包括的な情報が掲載されています。人気のバックカントリーコースの航空写真も掲載されています。HokkaidoWilds.orgに掲載されている詳細なルートガイドへのQRコードも含まれています。

- 雷電山（ニセコ連峰西端）の蘭越側ルートを更新
2022年の初版発行当時は存在しなかった「Type Two Three」キャットスキー事業を反映しました。ニセコ連峰にキャットアクセスができるこの新しいオペレーションは、ぜひチェックしてみてください。
- 雷電山蘭越側のアクセス・駐車情報を更新
蘭越側の登山口には公共の駐車場がないことを明確に追記し、注意を促しています。
- 斜度（スロープアングル）表示の追加
スイス連邦地形測量庁（SwissTopo）の基準を参考に、色分けされた斜度表示を追加しました。雪崩地形の移動計画に役立つ情報です。
- マップ裏面の文章を更新
現在は「大雪山」と「ニセコ」の2種類のマップを発行しているため、裏面の解説文を「北海道全般のバックカントリーノート」と「ニセコ特有のバックカントリーノート」に分け、内容を再構成しました。
- 新しいカバーデザイン
ウェルダン・ガンによる新デザインは、「ニセコではバックカントリースキーが地域社会に埋め込まれている」ことを表現しています。大雪山のような自然中心の環境とは異なり、ニセコ地域のバックカントリーゾーンは地元の暮らしと密接に結びついています。その事実を反映するカバーとなりました。
- 価格の変更
過去3年間で印刷および配送コストが大幅に上昇したため、価格を2,000円から2,500円に改定しました。マップの利益の多くは、北海道内の山岳安全・アクセス・持続可能性の取り組みに寄付され（詳細はこちら）、残りはHokkaidoWilds.orgウェブサイトの運営費に充てられます。
Explanation
Niseko Backcountry is the first-ever comprehensive 1:25000 scale English-Japanese topographical backcountry ski map covering the Niseko Range, Mt. Yotei, and Mt. Shiribetsu in southern Hokkaido, Japan. All the classic backcountry routes for skiing and boarding are included in stunning detail on tear-resistant waterproof paper.

Using high-detail Japanese government topographical map data and captivating cartography, the map outlines over 50
backcountry ascent and descent ski routes in the unique, powder-paradise volcanic terrain of the Niseko region.
The map includes comprehensive information about safety, terrain, weather, and parking. Includes aerial photos of popular
backcountry runs. QR codes are included for detailed route guides posted on HokkaidoWilds.org.
Printed in Japan on Japan-made, tear-resistant, waterproof, recyclable paper. Sold folded (11cm x 22cm).

Updated the Rankoshi-side route for Raiden Mountain (western end of the Niseko Range) | Reflects the “Type 2 Three” cat skiing operation, which did not exist when the first edition was published in 2022. Be sure to check out this new operation offering cat access to the Niseko Range.
Updated access and parking information for the Rankoshi side of Mt. Raiden | Clearly states and cautions that there is no public parking at the Rankoshi trailhead.
Added slope angle indicators | Added color-coded slope angle indicators based on SwissTopo standards. This information aids in planning movements through avalanche terrain.
Updated text on the map back cover｜Since we now publish two types of maps—“Daisetsuzan” and ‘Niseko’—we have restructured the explanatory text on the back cover into separate sections: “Hokkaido General Backcountry Notes” and “Niseko-Specific Backcountry Notes”.
New Cover Design｜The new design by Welldan Gunn expresses that “backcountry skiing in Niseko is concentrated within the
local community.” Unlike nature-centric environments like Daisetsuzan, the backcountry zones in the Niseko area are closely intertwined with local life.
Price Change 😅｜Due to significant increases in printing and shipping costs over the past three years, we've adjusted the price to \2,500 (previously \2,000). A large portion of the map's profits is donated to mountain safety, access, and sustainability
initiatives within Hokkaido (details here), with the remainder covering operational costs for the HokkaidoWilds.org website.
